RO water treatment system operating pressure problem

Compared with traditional separation processes, RO technology has unique advantages in energy consumption. However, in the traditional RO desalination field and wastewater treatment field, reducing energy consumption is still the focus of people's attention, especially in seawater desalination, RO requires a lot of energy on the cost of RO membranes. In order to reduce the operating pressure and improve the flux, RO materials are developing in the direction of skin ultra-thin and low-pressure RO membranes; for industrial wastewater treatment that does not require very high effluent requirements, nanofiltration membranes can be used instead of RO membranes. On the premise that the water quality meets the water requirements, the energy consumption is reduced.
