RO Water Treatment System For Seawater And Brackish Water Desalination
Leave a message
Since the 1960s, RO desalination has become an important way to obtain drinking water and an effective method to solve the shortage of fresh water resources. RO desalination technology is mainly used in two aspects: seawater desalination and brackish water desalination.
About 30% of seawater desalination devices in the world are realized by RO technology. More than 99% of salt ions in seawater can be removed through RO membrane to obtain drinkable fresh water. Israel's RO seawater desalination technology is relatively advanced. In 2005, Ashkelon built the world's largest RO seawater desalination device, with a water output of 3.3 × 105m3·d-1, accounting for 15% of Israel's total water demand. Water cost is about $0.53 m-3. The largest RO desalination station in my country is located in Changhai County, Dalian, with a daily output of 1000m3 of fresh water and a freshwater cost of 6 yuan m-3.
Brackish water is widely distributed in northern my country and contains many salt ions. It can be desalinated by RO technology to meet drinking water standards. The Malian River Basin Demonstration Project utilizes the brackish water resources of the Huanjiang River in the upper reaches of the Malian River, and adopts RO membrane technology to establish a 1000m3·d-1 brackish water desalination project. drinking water problem. Hangzhou Bay New District Water Plant] adopts ultrafiltration and RO combined equipment to treat the high salt water in the local reservoir. The quality of the effluent has been stable since it was put into operation for more than one year, which meets the national drinking water quality standards. He Xuwen, Yao Yongyi, Sun Wei, etc. have all conducted experimental research on brackish water with RO treatment. The system's desalination rate is >95%, and the effluent quality is better than the national drinking water standard.
Desalination of seawater and brackish water is the traditional application field of RO technology. The existing problems are still high operating pressure and high energy consumption. In addition, Cl- in seawater also pollutes the RO membrane greatly, which hinders the application of RO technology in this field. further promotion in the field. Low pressure, low energy consumption, anti-pollution, anti-oxidation RO membranes are being actively developed to fundamentally solve the problem.
