1.Sludge and polymer flocculation

The polymer dosing system prepares and dilutes the required chemicals and pumps them into the mixing tank. The sludge to be treated and the polymer flocculant are fed into the mixing tank simultaneously through dosing pumps. With the agitation of the mixing paddles, they are fully blended to achieve effective flocculation.

 

2.Working principle of the thickening section

When the screw shaft rotates, the multiple movable and fixed rings arranged around the shaft move relative to each other. Under the action of gravity, the water in the sludge is filtered out through the gaps between the rings, achieving rapid sludge thickening.

 

3.Working principle of the dewatering section and sludge cake discharge
In the dewatering section, the pitch of the screw shaft gradually decreases, creating increasing compression on the sludge. The thickened sludge moves forward continuously with the rotation of the screw shaft, while the volume of the screw chamber becomes smaller and the internal pressure rises under the action of the end plate (back pressure plate). With the continuous rotation of the screw shaft, the water in the sludge is strongly squeezed out, achieving continuous dewatering. After sufficient dewatering, the sludge cake is pushed out from the discharge outlet by the screw shaft, enabling efficient and continuous sludge dewatering.

 

4.Self-cleaning stage
The rotation of the screw shaft drives the moving rings to rotate continuously. The equipment relies on the relative movement between the fixed rings and the moving rings to achieve an ongoing self-cleaning process. This clever design effectively prevents the clogging issues commonly found in traditional dewatering machines.
